Empress Mel! ๐
All hail Empress Mel! ๐๐ค
โI would like to nominate my dear friend and fabulous colleague, Melanie Davis as my Empress today. ๐
What makes Melanie so very special is too hard to put into words as you really have to meet her to get the full โMarvellous Mel Effectโ and it would take a novel to show her justice, but here are a few things that make her just so brilliantโฆ
Mel is the Senior Benzodiazepine Lead at charity Change Grow Live and Manager of the REST Project. She has dedicated her life to helping people by working in social care, mental health and alcohol services. Melโs dedication to her work is completely admirable and she has changed the lives of so many people. She has kept working throughout the Covid-19 crisis and has continued to be a total lifeline.
Melโs love for all the great things this world has to offer - the arts, food, fashion, travel, is unrivalled. She danced the Argentine tango for 7 years and I am in constant awe of her zest for life and her fabulous schedule!
Mel cares about people, genuinely. She actively fights for peopleโs rights, was a trade union shop steward for 3 years and has been on numerous demos. In fact, Mel is one of the kindest, most considerate, accepting, optimistic people I have the pleasure of knowing. She is loved by so many and such a great friend to me. We could sit and chat for hours and laugh till the cows come home!
Mel featured as a super special guest star on the latest episode of The Empress Diaries which is dedicated to the importance of looking after our mental health. You can listen to the full episode here: https://empressdiaries.buzzsprout.com
All hail Empress Mel, thank you for being you. My mum always says there are angels living amongst us and I have no doubt that you are one. ๐ค โ
