🎧 You can tune in to the full episode here! 🎧

All hail Empress Lorraine and thank you for these wonderful pearls of wisdom!! Be sure to check out SE Music’s website for full fabulousness: https://www.semusic.org 🎵💫👑

  1. Stay motivated, stay creative and stay connected - talk to your colleagues, friends and fans. Reach out, stay in touch, keep creating and sharing your art. It can be easy to feel down and have a knock in confidence - keep talking to people who love you and remember YOU ROCK!

  2. Stay authentic to your artistic voice when live-streaming (and don’t overdo it - there can be too much of a good thing!) Eg. If you’re a classy cabaret act don’t do a live-stream from your messy toilet. Only put out content you’re proud of and feel represents you well :)

  3. Take your live streamed shows as seriously as you would an ‘IRL’ show - Make sure the audience is enjoying a high-quality experience with good sound, good visual, good internet, good set etc… Sound check and make sure you’re prepared. Pre-recorded shows are great too!

  4. Be flexible and embrace this ‘new world’ - This year has changed the world as we know it. Doing live-stream shows and when we do get out to gigging IRL again, these shows will look and feel completely different. You may need to rework your set, your performance style, even your outfits to work with these new settings.

  5. Be kind to yourself and listen to your body - Don’t put yourself under unnecessary pressure to live-stream or rush back into performing again. We may be feeling anxiety, uncertainty and stress that we’re not even aware of. Take time to listen to yourself and put your health first!
