Podcasting Top Tips! - what we've learnt along the way 💫

👑 As we near the final episode of the Empress Diaries podcast’s fabulous first season, our top tips for episode 9 are on MAKING A PODCAST (makes sense!) Calista is joined by guest co-presenter gorgeous George from House of Kiyote.

🎧 You can tune in to the full episode here! 🎧

It has been such a beautiful ride making this podcast and we’ve learnt soooo much along the way. We’d love to share these lovely lil pearls of wisdom with you! 😍👑🌞

  1. Take time to plan and prepare - To start, figure out your plan for the podcast as a whole, the overall series and a breakdown of every episode. Take time to research, prep and plan, plan, plan!

  2. Stay in your ‘school uniform’ to record - Schedule in podcast time as work time so even though you’re probs recording from home, stay in your ‘school clothes’ and stay in ‘work mode’. Remember, work hard and play hard!

  3. Don’t underestimate the workload - Give yourself a bit of self love and lots of time to make your first episode! Every episode involves a lot of prep and organisation time.

  4. Partner up - If it’s possible, collaborate with someone else and have a second pair of ears. This could be a co-presenter, producer or editor. Remember, a good edit is FUNDAMENTAL!

  5. Enjoy yourself! - People will enjoy listening to your podcast if you are enjoying making it. After all, isn’t the whole point of doing anything in life to have fun doing it?!
